55 years of hospitality
Everything might have turned out so much differently. After all, Rita Lengler had planned to become a teacher... that is if her father hadn't insisted on helping his children to make a living in the emerging tourism industry. In 1965, the ground-breaking ceremony took place for a 40-bed hotel, named after the charming young landlady. On 1 August 1969, she welcomed her first guests in Längenfeld. Guests at that time enjoyed rooms with their own bath and WC, which exceeded the standards customary at the time.
The spacious design of the building soon proved to be forward-thinking and attracted many loyal regular guests to the hotel. This trust inspired Rita Lengler and motivated her to always look ahead and keep the spirit of the times alive in the hotel.
With a keen sense of her guests' wishes, she carefully expanded and modernized the hotel. She found her true calling in her role as hostess and devoted herself with great dedication to the well-being of each and every guest.
Today, her daughter Magdalena Lengler continues this passion—with the same warmth, attention, and joy of personal contact that have always characterized the Hotel Rita.
