Ötztaler Home Museum

An endearing and spirited display of the rural traditions of the valley experience. The museum of local history in Längenfeld shows the peasant habitat, lifestyle and its world of work as existed 50 years ago. All steps of flax processing from flowering to finished linen are shown according to the season.

Suspension bridge

An easy circular hike leads from Längenfeld up to the hamlets of Brand and Burgstein, which are connected by an 83-metre suspension bridge. Those who dare to cross the spectacular bridge at 220 metres above the valley floor will be rewarded with fantastic views over Längenfeld. Walking time is approx. 2 hours and there are comfortable places to stop for refreshments along the way.

The amusement park Area 47 at the entrance to the Ötztal is Europe's trendiest playground for adventure seekers. Covering an area of approximately 6.5 hectares of nature and high-tech, the Area 47 is an extraordinary leisure experience for young and old alike. In addition to the Water Area, you will also find the Climbing Area, Outdoor Area, Off-Road Area and much more. Guests are welcome to book the tickets or activities directly at the reception.

From Oetz, you can reach the Widiversum Adventure Land at 2,020 m above sea level via cable car. At around 3,000 square metres, everything revolves around the search for the magic crystal. Here, a fascinating interactive mountain experience for the whole family awaits discovery and features nature-based play and puzzle stations, newly designed themed trails to the surrounding huts and mountain pastures, as well as the futuristic WIDI’s MOVIESHUTTLE 5D cinema.

Idyllically embedded in a depression above Oetz, the Piburgersee lake boasts near-drinking quality waters that are crystal-clear and exceptionally warm. While walking around the lake or swimming in the bathing area, enjoy the unique ambience of the area (and the nature reserve).

Farst

The colony is one of the oldest settlements in the valley. Farst is enthroned like a small kingdom at 1,482 meters above Umhausen. The settlement hangs at a dizzying height directly above the Engelswand, one of the most popular and well-known climbing gardens in the Ötztal. An incredible panoramic view and warm hospitality reward every hiker for the effort of the climb.

Experience the Ötzi village, the archaeological open-air park in Umhausen, and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the iceman Ötzi and his time around 5000 years ago. On display are prehistoric construction facilities, hunting and working equipment as well as old domestic breeds, which convey the life, living and management of Neolithic inhabitants.

Birds of Prey Park

The Ötztal Bird of Prey Park: On the approximately 5,000 m² area at the foot of the Stuibenfall, Tyrol's largest waterfall, and right next to the Ötzi village, 30 animals from 15 different birds of prey find their new home. The spectacular 300-seat arena will host exciting flight demonstrations.
