We have summarized the most important questions and answers here.
Nothing has changed in our hospitality and wour welcoming spirit as your hosts at Hotel Rita. We take the situation seriously and have elaborated the following measures at our hotel.

- We full fill all necessary requirements in terms of distance in the restaurant
- Frequent disinfection of all public spaces
- Our staff members will smile behind their mask
- At your disposal: masks, one-way gloves in order to disinfect your hiking sticks, bikes, etc.
- Additional disinfection tables in the public spaces
- The choice for more privacy in your room - cleaning only on request
- We disinfect all rooms after departure for the upcoming guests to enjoy a 100% clean hotel room
- Weekly COVID testing of all employees
- Our guests have the possibility to undergo a COVID test on the spot. The mobile testing stations are installed in Gurgl, Sölden, Längenfeld and Ötz. The results are send to your mobile phone within 24 hours. The costs are € 85,00 per person. The testing laboratory is Novogenia.
Latest cancellation policy
In order for you not to worry about your holidays we have changed our cancellation policy.
You can cancel your stay for free until 2 weeks prior to arrival.
If you have already done a pre-payment for your stay with us be assured that we keep them untouched and they remain with us for a future stay
Changing or amending your existing bookings is always possible. The respective daily rates will apply for a change in dates for instance.

You are note obliged to wear a face-mouth cover while hiking, cross-country skiing, sleighing, etc.
What can we expect in the skiing area?
What can we expect in the skiing area?
A mouth-face cover has to be carried:
- wehnever you enter the ticket shops of the gondolas
- whenever you are in the line for the gondolas
- whenever you are in the access & exit area of the gondolas / chair lifts / t-bones
- whenever you use walking carpets (training zone)
- whenever you are moving in the gastronomic institutions (not when seated)
- whenever you use the washrooms
- whenever you use the ski busses or are waiting at the bus stop
Consider all standard hygene procedures.
All public areas are disinfected on a regular basis. Please also use the hand sanitizers placed at your disposal.

- Consider the distance of 1 meter ot other people.
- It is recommended to open the windows when seated in the gondolas.
- Please pay contactless whenever possible.
- The main gondolas to the skiing area - Giggijochbahn (4.500 Pax/h), Gaislachkoglbahn (3.600 Pax/h) are among the most effective gondolas of the world
- Both gondolas will open at 08:00 am already
- The skiing are of Sölden stretches over 430 ha of slopes, the average skiing surface per skier is +/- 400 m², meaning 25 skiers ski on 1 hectar.
- Non of the gondolas and chair lifts rides is longer than the critical 15 minutes. Short rides reduce the risk of being infected significantly.
- You may decide on your own if you would want to share gondolas with other people.
What happens to Après-Ski?
What happens to Après-Ski?
In neither of the bars you will see Après Ski the way we know it from the past. All the bars are opened in a lounge style ambiance, no self-service and only seated guests will be served. The distance between tables will be kept. Music will be played as back-ground ambiance music in bars, restaurants only. The known Après Ski flair will be abandoned on purpose this winter.

In public spaces, in indoor-areas, when going shopping, in museums, in public transportation, when skiing (see above).

Together with the Austrian association of ski instructors the ski schools of the Ötztal have elaborated the following guidlines for skiing lessons:
- KEEP DISTANCE
Everywhere you may not be able to keep the distance to other people you have to wear a face-mouth cover
- FACE-MOUTH COVER
in all indoor areas; you may also use a spitting shield in addition. Parents and instructors have to wear a face-mouth cover in the training area.
- GROUP SIZE
max. 10 people
- DISINFECTION
In all indoor areas disinfection will be available for you. All surfaces are disinfected several times a day.
- BOOK ONLINE
In order to avoid crowds in the ski school offices you may reserve your lessons online or via telephone in advance. This also helps to generate the necessary data for contact tracing.
- CANCELLATIONS
Ski schools are working with flexible cancellation policies. All courses can be cancelled free of charge until 7 days prior to arrival.
Will the Aqua Dome be open?
Will the Aqua Dome be open?
Yes, the thermal spa Aqua Dome will be open. Also there the general rules are applied. Wear a face-mouth cover, keep distance, use hand sanitation facilities regularly.
The Aqua Dome has proofed during summer already that a well-established hygene concept makes a visit to the thermal spa safe.
There is a limited number of visitors that is why it is recommended to buy tickets in advance.
