Naturally, the Ötztal is known worldwide for its fabulous opportunities to ski and snowboard from the novice to the expert athlete. But even off the slopes, there is an entire winter wonderland to enjoy surrounding Längenfeld.
Winter Hiking
40 Kilometers of cleared and maintained hiking trails invite you to explore the fresh winter forest. After each snowfall, the trails are cleared as quickly as possible. Fascinating ice formations, snow-covered forests, and pristine white meadows offer a beautiful tour through the wintery Ötztal. To ensure a perfect Vacation in our Hotel Rita we offer complimentary rentals of backpacks, hiking sticks, and pulse meters.
Sledding-Dorado Längenfeld
Surrounding our delightful hotel there are 5 sledding runs with a combined 18.5 kilometers of distance, providing great fun for all ages. You can combine your sled ride from Längenfelds Rodel-Alms (sledding alms) with a gorgeous winter hike. Delicious snacks and refreshing drinks are a welcome break during exhilarating winter activities.
Tour Paradise Längenfeld
Gries in the Sulztal is a first class Tour-Dorado during the winter months. The many trails and gorgeous vistas bring visitors from all over Tyrol to the beautiful alpine area above Längenfeld.
Ice Climbing
The natural waterfall at the beginning of the Old Burgstein Street is ideal for Ice Climbing. Certified mountain guides acquaint you with the fascination of ice climbing. This is an experience for every mountain enthusiast. The Längenfeld Tourism Association organizes a weekly climbing event, which is only possible during the winter months.
Ice Skating and Curling
... is another tradition. Our grandparents discovered how much fun it is to glide across the ice holding hands. Well-groomed natural ice, music, stars sprinkling across the sky at dusk - who can say no to that? The ice arena in Längenfeld is open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, and is illuminated after dark. Skates and curling equipment can be rented in the village.
Snowshoe Hiking
