Hiking to Your Heart's Desire
The Ötztal is a unique paradise for hikers and mountain climbers. But the thought of steep trails and paths can cause many people to feel overwhelmed and unable to fully enjoy mountain hiking.
„Hiking to Your Heart's Desire“ is a new program at Hotel Rita that will enable the beginning hiker to enjoy the mountains as well, with some simple, helpful items. It is particularly important to set an appropriate pace and be mindful of your pulse rate.
For your optimal hiking enjoyment, we make available hiking sticks, backpacks, and pulse meters for free rental. You are sure to soon be sporting our new "Rita Hiking Pin" too.
Varied Network of Trails
Here in Längenfeld, in the middle of the Ötztals , a network of hiking trails is spread across the valley with a wide variety of terrain. 150 Kilometers of hiking paths curve through the rich green valley floor and over the flanks of the Ötztaler and Stubaier Alps. A particularly scenic route that many enjoy is the Panorama-Wanderungen, which circles the vacation village Längenfeld at a moderate height and offers spectacular views.
Across the Fields....
Particularly comfortable are the walking paths along the flat region of the Längenfeld valley floor. Approximately 40 kilometers of level trails lead through the many small hamlets scattered through the area.
Panoramic trails …
Just a few hundred meters above the Längenfeld basin are paths with spectacular, panoramic views. On these trails with only a moderate rise in altitude, you have a constant view of the gorgeous meadows and lush forests immediately below you.
In the Alpine terrain …
Längenfeld is surrounded by rugged, towering mountain flanks, which flow up into jagged, ancient mountain peaks. Incredible tours to selected destinations in the high alpine areas lead you across wide canyons and past sparkling high mountain lakes.
